Eagles release a veteran, signaling that two of their players are ready to return from injury

Bad news for Parris Campbell Monday probably represents some good news for the Eagles’ offense.
For the second time this season, Campbell was waived from the 53-man roster and that’s likely a sign that the Eagles expect both star receiver DeVonta Smith and rookie receiver Johnny Wilson to be back on the field when the team faces the Carolina Panthers Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field.
